Nigeria is secured from Boko Haram - Lai Mohammed
- As Nigerians continue to lament over rising cases of killings and kidnappings, Lai Mohammed, has said President Buhari's administration has performed well on security
- According to the minister, the country is totally free from Boko Haram as the country is safe from all insecurity issues
- Mohammed added that the country will keep collaborating at both the regional and international levels to ensure continued security in the country
The minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has preformed excellently in the area of addressing insecurity and ensuring the country is safer than it was in 2015.
Mohammed made this known in Washington DC in an interview with Voice of America (VOA), the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The information minister said that government has battled Boko Haram and secured the entire country from the insurgent group, adding that clashes in Benue have also been tackled.
Mohammed also added that criminal activities in the country, especially in Zamfara and Kaduna states have been solved because of the collaborations between security agencies.
He said that that the Buhari-led administration would explore more strategies to deal with banditry and other insecurity situation in the country.
The minister also said that the government is quite aware that the some of the causes for the various crises in the country are unemployment, non-inclusiveness, social and other economic reasons.
Finally, Mohammed assured that the government will keep collaborating with regional and international agencies in the addressing security challenges.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, the chief of Army Staff, on Monday, April 15, said Boko Haram activities have been confined only to the Lake Chad area and the Sambisa forest in Northeastern Nigeria.
It was reported that he assured that Nigerian Army is still in search of the remaining abducted Chibok girls still in Boko Haram captivity.
Buratai noted that Boko Haram activities were reduced in the region due to the resilience of the military in collaboration with other security agencies.
