President Buhari’s surviving 84-year-old sister treks 100 meters to vote

- The 84-year-old surviving sister of President Muhammadu Buhari, also participated in the ongoing electoral exercise

- Hajiya Rakiya Adamu-Amadodo was reported to have trekked a distance of 100 meters on foot to her Kofar Baru 002 polling unit

- The octogenarian was reportedly escorted by her grand-children, relations and well wishers to the venue of voting venue

Hajiya Rakiya Adamu-Amadodo, the 84 year-old surviving elder sister of President Muhammad Buhari, on Saturday, March 9, discharged her civic duties by casting her vote during the gubernatorial and state Assembly elections.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Daura reports that the octogenarian covered a distance of 100 meters on foot to her Kofar Baru 002 polling unit in Daura to exercise her franchise at exactly 12.34 pm.

Legit.ng gathers that Adamu-Amadodo was escorted by her grand-children, relations and well wishers to the venue of voting venue.

Her polling unit has no fewer than 854 registered voters, who are expected to cast their vote.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari was captured spying on his wife’s ballot paper once again, as the duo cast their votes during the Saturday, March 9 governorship and state House of Assembly elections.

The president and his wife, Aisha, joined hundreds of other voters to exercise their franchise at Polling Unit 003, Kofar Baru III, Gidan Niyam, Daura, Katsina state.
