APC suspends Amosun, Okorocha from party
The national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Governor Ibikunle Amosu of Ogun state and his counterpart, Rochas Okorocha of Imo state from the party.
The Cable reports that the national working committee also recommended to the national executive committee (NEC) of the party that both governors be expelled from the APC.

The newspaper states that the decision was taken on Friday afternoon, March 1, in Abuja, by the national working committee based on allegations of anti-party activities levelled against the governors.
Amosun and Okorocha won senatorial seats on the platform of the APC in the February 23 National Assembly election but are reportedly supporting candidates of other parties for the March 9 governorship election in their respective states.

Legit.ng had reported that the APC alleged that Governor Ibikunle Amosun was responsible for sponsoring thugs to throw objects at President Muhammadu Buhari and other party chieftains at its campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
According to a statement made available to Legit.ng, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC's spokesman, stated that the state governor will be punished after the general elections.
Moreover, the ruling party, contrary to President Buhari's position, asked its supporters in the state to vote for its candidate during the governorship poll on Saturday, March 9.
