- The Enugu state chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has endorsed Governor Ugwuanyi for second term
- The group based its support for the governor on his tolerance, accommodating nature and governance
- Miyetti Allah said Ugwuanyi has shown members of their group in the state love
The members of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in the southeast geo-political zone of Enugu state have thrown their support behind Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his reelection in the state.
The association said it has decided to back the governor because he has been accommodating and has ensured peace and good governance reigned in the state, Premium Times reports.
Members of the group made this known through the organisation as they excitedly thronged the government house of the state during a support visit they paid the governor.
Didado Sidikki, the president of the association, praised the governor to high heavens for what he said is Ugwuanyi’s “manifest love for our people living in Enugu state.”

Sidikki said: “We freely carry the message of your welcoming attitude to our kiths and kin in the Northern parts of Nigeria. We do this as proof that the oneness that Nigerian leaders preach is in practice in Your Excellency’s domain.”
The group also commended the governor on how he has been a model of tolerance, and praised how he has involved them in the affairs of the state.
He said: “Having considered all these your excellency, our people unanimously raise our voices in supporting your acceptance to have a second shot at the governance of Enugu State through the instrumentality of the coming gubernatorial elections.
“We lend our weight in support of your re-election project as we share the belief that when a route is good you make it twice.
“Our experience of your shade of governance commands appeal, and we can do no less than give you our unalloyed support and votes to ensure that your re-election mission is duly accomplished. This we wish to demonstrate in clear terms."

The governor also appreciated them for their support and used the opportunity to show gratitude to all non-indigenes of Enugu for maintaining peace and contributing to the development of the state.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Governor Ugwuanyi presented N109 billion 2019 budget appropriation to the state House of Assembly.
It was reported that the governor, while presenting the budget tagged "Budget of peace, equity and prosperity," on Monday, December 17, 2018, said that the implementation of the 2018 budget was already up to 85 percent, noting that the government has taken development to the urban and rural communities.
