Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that at least four deputy inspectors general of police may be on their way out of Nigeria’s law enforcement agency with Ibrahim Idris, the former nspector general, whose tenure ended with his retirement on Tuesday, January 15.

The forced retirement of the four DIGs, who are part of the management team of the police, would be to pave way for the new IGP, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, to begin the running of the affairs of the organisation.

According to the report, those that might be affected by the reorganisation include DIG Maigari Dikko who is in charge of department of finance and administration; DIG Joshuak Habila, department of operations; DIG Emmanuel Inyang, information and communications technology; and DIG Agboola Oshodi-Glover, logistics and supply.
