One day, Nigerians will not have to worry about trigger happy police officers, who at the slightest frustration or argument shoot innocent individuals. Some end up in the mortuary while others are lucky to get proper medical care.

A Facebook user identified as Maryam Ogunmuyiwa narrated how a police officer shot a student in Abeokuta, Ogun state. According to the lady, Dimeji who is a senator in Student Parliamentary Council Federal College of Education was shot by the officer in a taxi.

Dimeji has been operated on at the Federal Medical Center (FMC), in Abeokuta, on Tuesday, January 15. Ogunmuyiwa also urged people to pray for Dimeji to survive the surgery.

He was shot by a policeman yesterday wherein they were in the same taxi. The policeman said he felt like releasing a bullet and shot Dimeji who was sitting at the front sit. He was operated at Federal Medical Center, FMC Abeokuta, yesterday. All we need to do is to pray for him not to die. We don't wanna loose another senator again in our chamber, Allah we don't wanna loose another student in our school. May Almighty Allah grant him Shifah.
