2019: Taraba Miyetti Allah endorses Buhari, APC governorship candidate
- President Muhammadu Buhari has been endorsed by the Taraba state chapter of Miyetti Allah
- The president was endorsed alongside the APC governorship candidate in the state, Sani Danladi
- MACBAN said the president has fulfilled his campaign promises in areas of security, fight against corruption and economic growth
The Taraba state chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has announced its adoption of President Buhari as the presidential candidate in the forthcoming 2019 election.
The association also adopted the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state, Sani Danladi.
Speaking on the decision of the association, the Taraba state chairman of MACBAN, Mahmud Tukur, during a press conference on Monday, January 7, in Jalingo said the duo have leadership qualities capable of leading the state and the country.

Tukur said MACBAN's decision is a mark of respect to the leader of the association and the conviction that President Buhari had kept his campaign promises especially to the northeast.
Citing the Mambilla Hydro Power project, the bridge across the River Benue in Ibbi and other projects in the region, Tukur said the clear failure of the incumbent administration in the state called for the need to change the government.
“I am pleased to inform you that the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Taraba State chapter has adopted President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC as its presidential candidate for the 2019 presidential election," Tukur said.
"We have equally adopted Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi of the APC as our governorship candidate in Taraba State and all the other candidates vying for various posts on the platform of the APC in the state.
“This decision is not only a mark of respect for our leaders but also a conviction that the president has fulfilled his campaign promises in areas of security, fight against corruption and economic growth. I urge you to take this message seriously and work towards the election of Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi in his bid to take over the state government so that the good programme of the APC would flow down easily,” the association said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the endorsement of President Buhari for the 2019 presidential election by the MACBAN has been faulted by the Benue state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The state publicity secretary of PDP and chairman, publicity sub-committee of Benue state PDP campaign organisation for 2019 presidential election, Bemgba Iortyom, faulted the cattle breeders association over the endorsement.
Iortyom said: “Miyetti Allah’s endorsement of Buhari’s candidacy is a clear statement which Nigerians must understand lucidly for what it truly is; that with Buhari as president, the bloodshed and carnage being wrecked on them by Fulani herdsmen is sure to continue."
