Nollywood actors who died this year and the years before will always be remembered. The movie industry of the country lost a number of talented stars. Some of them were young new actors and others were experienced in acting.

Veteran Nollywood actor died on July 2, 2018. Ignis was from Fuga in Edo State, talented actor and scriptwriter became popular after the roles in such movies as “Behind The Clouds,” “Everyday People” and “Cockcrow At Dawn.”

Nollywood actor and producer, who was involved in the industry for 25 years. He starred in many movies and produced such prominent movie as “The Missing God.” Chukwudi Bambino died on 16th of June, 2018.
- Chike Osuji

One more sad example of Nollywood actors who have died this year. Among the most known movies with Chike Osuji, there are: “40 Days in the Wilderness,” “The Governor” and “The book of Harragon.” The actor passed away when he was 65 years old. Chike left his four children and wife. Imo State based actor was a legend of the Nigerian movie industry, that is why his death became a tragedy for Nollywood. - Ezeora Nelson Oluchukwu

Ezeora Nelson was a rising star, talented actor and screenwriter who left us this year. He was also known as Nelson Gold, and he died at the age of 26. Because of the fall on a movie set, the actor slipped into a coma. Ezeora Nelson Oluchukwu died on 15 June 2018. The actor had a bright breakthrough into Nollywood with his role in the movie “Black Child.”
- Okwy Chukwujekwu

The actor was also known as Main Bossman, and he starred in such Nollywood movies as “Ibu's Burial,” “Ogbo Na Ncha,” “Men of Wisdom” and “Papa Do Something.” The actor died because of an asthma attack when he was in Anambra State. Odira Nwobu, the friend of Okwy, announced the death of the actor on social media.

- Uduak Akrah

She was born in Akwa Ibom state in south-south Nigeria. Uduak was involved in the entertainment industry for decades. She was a very creative personality, with a charming smile. Uduak acted in many great movies the most prominent among them are: “Bafana Bafana,” “Missing Angel 2,” “Bafana Bafana 2” and “Emotional Crack.” The young and beautiful actress died because of complications from her fall in the bathroom.
The fatal fall happened two years ago and caused serious injuries. The actress died on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

Famous Nigerian actress and producer died on May 15, 2018. She died of breast cancer. The most prominent works of the actress was in movies "Omoge Campus," "Papa Ajasco," "No Pain, No Gain," "Awerijaye," "So Wrong So Right" and "T’omi T’eje." Her death became a huge loss for the Nollywood.
- Nora Nkiruka Ugo

The bright and talented actress died due to illness. Nora Nkiruka Ugo acted in movies: “Warriors of Satan,” “Hawkers Vs Hawkers,” “Love and Age,” “Diary of a Confused Teenager” and “Husbands of Lagos.”
The death of the actress was confirmed by her sister’s Facebook post. Media reported that the actress died on 8th of January 2018 because of uterine fibroid and blood clot. The doctors tried to save her life, but the disease caused a lot of complications.
Those are the Nollywood actors who have died this year, unfortunately, the list is quite long, and this is a significant loss for Nigerian movie industry.
