Humblesmith state of origin
Ekene Ijembais hails from Uruala, a town in Ideato North local government area of Imo State, southeastern Nigeria, he was born on May 14, 1991, in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria in the Catholic family. He was the fourth son of eight children and grew up in a family of the stationery dealer and the teacher.
Education
He obtained his primary and secondary education in Abakaliki. He started dancing in secondary school and become part of the American Boys group till 2008, when he moved to Asaba City, the capital of Delta State, South-Southern Nigeria to start his career.

History of Humblesmith music career
The beginning of his career was not brilliant since he had to find any menial jobs to earn money for living. However, everything changed a lot, when he tried acting and stared in some Nollywood films. The most famous one was "Hypertension" alongside famous actors Mr. Ibu and Sam Loco Efe.

Some time later he returned home, but since 2011 he decided to start a music career and conquer the music industry in Delta State. Being influenced greatly by Bright Chimezie and willing to become a successful and famous artist, he was giving performances for free until the DG Records noticed him and offered a contract.
His debut single "Chairmoo" was released in 2014 in Lagos City, to which he moved in 2012. His next song was called "Osinachi,” featuring the brilliant musician Phyno, and was a real breakthrough for him. It was holding the top position at the MTV based music chart for a few weeks and made him really famous.
He then released the remix version of this song featured Davido, which in 2016 won a nomination at Nigeria Entertainment Awards. It also brought him the nomination at the "Best New Act" category at the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards, as well as at the "Hottest Single" category at the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

His next hit single was titled "Jukwese" featured Flavour N'abania and was released in April 2016, which gained rotational airplay around Nigeria. Most of these singles were released under the N-tyze Entertainment, to which he signed a contract in 2014. In 2016, he made the list of "10 Artists To Watch In 2016" by notJustOk.
The 2016 year brought him also a multi-million Naira endorsement deal with noodles manufacturing company Tummy-Tummy Food Industry.

He was chosen as Rookie of The Year at The Headies 2015, the Hottest Single and the Best New Act at the 2016 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, the Best Newcomer at the 2016 African Muzik Magazine Awards. He was also was nominated Song of the Year, Best Pop Single, Best Collaboration, and Next Rated at The Headies 2016. His other nominations are Choice Afro Beat & Pop Artist and Choice New Song of the Year at the Nigerian Teen Choice Award 2016. He won the “Collaboration of the Year” nomination at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.
