The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy condition over the central states in the morning, with chances of light moderate rains over Makurdi, Nasarawa, Abuja, Jos, Bauchi, Gombe, Bida, Jalingo, Yola, Mambila Plateau, Minna and Kaduna axis.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Tuesday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 27 to 31 and 21 to 23 degrees celsius, except for Jos with 24 to 15 degree celsius.
The agency predicted that southern states would experience cloudy conditions over the entire cities during the morning hours.
It predicted that there were chances of light to moderate rains over Akure, Osogbo, Ado-Ekiti, Abeokuta, Enugu, Awka, Warri, Ikom, Calabar, Portharcourt, Asaba, Umuahia and the entire southern cities in the afternoon and evening.
NiMet further predicted chances of moderate rains over the entire coastal cities in the afternoon and evening hours, with day and night temperatures of 28 to 30 and 20 to 23 degrees celsius.
According to NiMet, cloudy condition is expected to prevail over the northern states, with chances of thunderstorms and moderate rains over Maiduguri, Yobe, Dutse, Gusau, Katsina, Nguru, Kano, Gusau and Zaria in the morning.
