Breaking: Obasanjo visits Jonathan, Patience in Otuoke home in Bayelsa

Former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo, in the morning of Tuesday, July 31, visited Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, at their Otuoke home in Ogbia local government area, Bayelsa state.

At the time of this report, details of the visit were still sketchy, but his recent actions may soon draw varied opinions from the political circle.

Photographs posted by Bolanle Cole, showed the moment the former president visited Jonathan in his family home.

"In the early hours of this morning, former president, Obasanjo, met with former president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan in a close door meeting," Cole, a promoter of good governance, said without stating the details of the visit.

Obasanjo is widely held as majorly responsible for the defeat of Jonathan in 2015 even though he was also a strong force in the emergence of the former president.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Olusegun Obasanjo reportedly showed up at a rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state, on Monday, July 9, years after dumping the organisation.
