Shehu Sani reacts to invasion of Benue House of Assembly
The lawmaker representing Kaduna central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the alleged invasion of the Benue house of Assembly.
The senator who disclosed this on Twitter on Monday, July 30, said court order should be obeyed in this case and the right of every Nigerian should be respected.
"Benue; the court order should be obeyed. Security men deployed to the house of assembly should be withdrawn.The right of the governor and every Nigerian to belong to any political party should be respected .Respect my right to my choice even if you don’t believe in it," he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that eight out of 30 lawmakers in Benue State House of Assembly have reportedly served an impeachment notice on Governor Samuel Ortom.
Tahav Agerzua, a spokesperson for Governor Ortom said that the eight lawmakers have also taken over the premises of the state parliament with the alleged support of the police.

“They have taken over the House of Assembly and served the governor an impeachment notice despite a court order forbidding them from doing so,” Agerzua said.
