Real Madrid supporters want Harry Kane as Ronaldo's replacement

Real Madrid supporters have requested Harry Kane as replacement for departed Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a poll conducted by Spanish media outlet Marca, fans of Los Blancos chose the Tottenham striker over the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

The England captain achieved 26 percent of the 200,000-vote survey, with Paris Sanint-Germain's Edison Cavani and Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi both getting 14 percent of the vote.

The European champions are desperate to find a replacement for Ronaldo, who recently left the club for Juventus, as they continue their search for an attacker who can score 40 plus goals' every season.

Kane netted 41 times last season, and 35 the campaign before, so is the proven goalscorer that Madrid currently require.

Other players on the poll included former Real Madrid star Mariano Diaz, who achieved 12 percent, while Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski also achieved the same tally.

However, the majority of supporters feel the Spurs' man is the right candidate for the job having consistently found the net in the Premier League in three consecutive season.

The Belgium international's future is up in the air and looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the near future, however, Madrid fans do not appear to be too keen on his signing.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Real Madrid have joined in the race to sign Chelsea target Danielle Rugani.

The 23-year-old Juventus defender has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer but Los Blancos are looking to use Cristiano Ronaldo's influence to make the swoop.
