The Bavarians came out smoking as 19-year-old Meritan Shabani headed home a pin-point cross from Rafinha to make it 1-0.

Veteran winger Arjen Robben made it 2-0 after controlling a long pass with the side of his left-boot before applying the finish beyond Claudio Bravo.

Portuguese star Silva got the match-winner in the 70th minute picking his spot in the near side of Ulreich to finish the game 3-2 in favour of the Citizens.

Guardiola's men will now prepare for their season opener when they face Chelsea in the Community Shield at the Wembley Stadium on August, 5.
