19-year-old boy arrested for stabbing his girlfriend to death in Edo state (photo)

It has been reported that a 19-year-old boy, Junior Baba, was arrested by the Edo state police command for killing his 18-year-old girlfriend and dumping her body by the roadside.

Punch reports that this unfortunate incident happened around Ogida quarters in Ovia South-West local government area of the state. Baba committed this crime after engaging in an argument with late Matilda Odiri.

It was further reported that Odiri suspected Baba of been unfaithful. The deceased was said to have visited Baba’s residence in the area, where she intended to pass the night before the argument ensued on Saturday, July 7.

According to Punch, the deceased was said to have accused her boyfriend of allegedly having an affair with another girl after several observation of him keeping late nights. This got the young man angry as he stepped into the kitchen, picked up a knife and stabbed her to death before dumping her body by the roadside around 11pm.

After committing this crime, he fled to Aduwawa in Benin but was arrested after his father reported the case to the police. This was confirmed by the state’s commissioner of police, Johnson Kokumo.

Legit.ng earlier reported that daughter of ex-deputy governor of Ondo state was found dead in her boyfriend’s house. After been arrested, the young man confessed to used her for rituals.
