Here’s why Reverend Funke Adejumo may be barred from entering the UK and the US

Reverend Funke Adejumo may be barred from entering the UK, US and other EU nations that is if a new petition launched on change.org goes through.

The petition launched by a Mayowa Olaiya wants Reverend Adejumo to be barred from entering the UK because "she is a religious charlatan who defrauds people."

In Mayowa’s words: “Funke Felix Adejumo is one of a group of Nigerian religious Charlatans who regularly visit the UK to defraud the people and the country.

They ask people to sow seeds for miracles and breakthrough and flee from the country with the funds without paying tax. They go from Churches to churches; this is a religious cabal network.”

This petition may not be unrelated to several videos showing the popular pastor asking for donations from church goers. In one video, she asks for N1million and in another she asks for $1000. Mayowa’s petition currently has over 2500 signatures.

When it reaches 5000 signatures, it will be presented to British Prime Minister Theresa May who is then expected to act on it. Meanwhile, other petitions have emerged also asking that Adejumo is barred from entering the US and other European Union (EU) countries.

The petition that wants to stop her from entering the US was started by a Daniel Audu who believes she is laundering money with the pretence of a church.

He wrote: “We are determined to stop the extortion and money laundering going on in the United States by fraudulent Nigerian pastor Rev Funke Felix Adejumo.

She hides under the pretence of being a woman of God and extort money from gullible unsuspecting members in different Nigerian churches across the United States.

We have reason to believe this woman is laundering money from the United States through the pretence of a church. This is an illegal money laundry channel and we need to regulate or stop this extortion.”

Reverend Adejumo has not responded to any of the petitions.
