JAMB direct entry in 2018
JAMB direct entry registration started in December 2017. It has been more than six months since the beginning of the registration. JAMB direct entry admission is mainly for people who have done diploma and want to go for university degree programmes.

JAMB Direct Entry requirements
According to the rules, a candidate with one of the following qualifications may be considered for admission:
It’s required to have O’Level credit pass in five subjects in not more than two sittings. A candidate should have two compulsory subjects provided by the request of the university. Usually, it includes English and Mathematics.
The candidate should provide a minimum of lower credit for National Innovation Diploma or National Diploma.
The candidate should pass two major subjects according to the NCE/NBC credits. They should be equivalent to the three other subjects of the main education courses.
All candidates will be required to provide their JAMB registration Numbers, NID/NCE. There should also be provided with other previous degree qualifications, like JUPEB, WAEC, CAMBRIDGE or IJMB.
How can you apply for JAMB direct entry admission?
The first thing to know is that the registration fee is just five thousand Naira. There is also extra pay of 500 Naira for DE. Candidates from foreign countries would pay $20 additionally for passing the exam.

It should also be mentioned that a CD containing eBrochure and eSyllabus are also given for free.

Profile registration JAMB direct
The first step is to get through the registration process. For this , you will need a mobile phone. One registration number is provided only for one candidate.
A candidate should send his/her Family Name-Middle Name-Name to the number 55019. It’s a necessary procedure which will provide you the ability to get a profile code for registration. The code will consist of 10 characters.
What should you do if you’ve made a mistake or lost a profile code?
You will just need to retry the procedure mentioned above. You will need to send the SMS with your correct data to the number 55019.

- Banks, like Zenith, Unity, Union, Sterling, Skye, Jaiz, Fidelity, FCMB, First Bank, Eco Bank and Access.
- Mobile money operators, like Packway Projects, Teasy Pay, e-Tranzact, Paga.
- Micro Finance Banks, like Regent MFB and FUD MFB.
- Payment platforms, like System Specs and InterSwitch.
- USSD mobile banking, like ERCAS and NIBSS.
Candidates’ duties for JAMB
If you have received your ePin, received the code and got the e-slip at the end of the registration at the website, then you can go through further.
All candidates are to provide the registration slip. Remember that the registration fee is non-refundable. You will need to visit the nearest center for the JAMB direct entry to complete your registration. The center may ask you to pay additional seven hundred Naira for the registration service. If you are asked to pay more than this, then you should report to the closest JAMB center.
