Environmental agencies are commissions or organizations established for oversight, administration and protection of the environment and its resources against misuse and degradation from human resources. Below is the list of environmental agencies in Nigeria.

Environmental protection agencies in Nigeria

An environmental agency or environmental protection agency is an organisation or commission that is established within a government or outside the government for environmental protection and also management and preservation of the ecological resources. These agencies also have to protect the environment from, misuse or its resources by humans; degradation of the environment and protection and management of the environment in matters of climate change.

These agencies can be found at national level, state or regional level and some are private or non-governmental organisations.
