Breaking: US deports 34 Nigerians for committing fraud, other crimes
Not fewer than 34 Nigerians have been reportedly deported from the United States of America (USA). The deportees allegedly arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos on Wednesday, June 20.
The deportees which comprise of 32 males and two females were sent back home on various offences bothering on homicide, fraud, carrying prohibited items, impersonation, among other offences, Daily Trust reports.
Legit.ng gathered that they arrived aboard a chartered Omni Air International B767 aircraft which landed at 14:35 hr (2:35pm). The aircraft reportedly departed at exactly 4: 30 pm.

Relevant security agencies including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), among others have reportedly started screening the deportees.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Pope Francis criticised the United States' president, Donald Trump's "zero tolerance" immigration policy that is leading to the separation of migrant children from their parents at the US-Mexico border.

The pontiff described the immigration policy as immoral, adding that "populism is not the solution" to America’s immigration crisis.
President Trump had earlier defended the policy, saying it was necessary. He claimed that his political opponents wanted “illegal immigrants, no matter how bad they may be, to pour into and infest our country, like (the gang) MS-13” .
