Brazil star Neymar believes his teammate Miranda was fouled during Switzerland's equalizer against Brazil and urged the referees to improve.

The World Cup favourites were held to a 1-1 draw in Rostov-on-Don after Philippe Coutinho's opener was cancelled out by a header from Steven Zuber.

Miranda seemed to have been nudged in the back as the ball was crossed into the box which has raised eyebrows.

"I guess it was foul," he said.

"When you see the moment on [the] replay, people celebrating the goal... I was seeing it again but it's not for me to talk about it, there are four professionals working for that. They have to do their job.

"We didn't deserve to end with a draw. But we can improve, we can play better. But it was a match to show us that it won't be easy."
