The state government has yet to officially confirm the sad report.

Meanwhile, in an entirely different matter, Legit.ng reported recently that some villagers reportedly blocked the Yola-Gombe road linking Adamawa and Gombe states on Thursday, June 14.

This was after troops reportedly killed one person in a raid on suspected drug dealer in Lafiya Lamurde village in Adamawa state.

A combined team of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives and soldiers were said to have arrested a patent medicine owner in the village on Thursday.

According to a resident, tension engulfed the village when stray bullet reportedly killed a motorcyclist as soldiers fired several shots into the air indiscriminately.
