Eight lives have been cut short after a fatal accident involving a Toyota Hiace and a Blue Mack truck occurred along Lagos-Ibadan expressway on June 12. According to reports, seven of the passengers died on the spot and one more passed away at the hospital.
Sources claim the Edo indigenes arrived Nigeria from Spain for a wedding set to hold in Benin city, which they were making their way to. Unfortunately, their trip was cut short when their Toyota Hiace collided into a Blue Mack truck and got crushed like a snack.
According to the Public Relations Officer, Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi, the accident was caused majorly by speeding and wrongful overtaking on the part of the bus driver.

The remains of the late passengers has been moved to the morgue of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu.
