He said mentioning Fulani anytime a killing occurred amounts to criminalising the entire Fulani tribe.
Muhammed said:“Why should the word Fulani herdsmen be used anytime there is killing? That amounts to criminalising the entire Fulani tribe and we will not take that again.
“The media are the one fuelling this hatred against the Fulani people and we will sue any journalist whose report reflects this henceforth.”
"We are not in support of any Fulani man who kills or gets himself involved in any criminal activities. The police should arrest and prosecute any Fulani man if caught.
“Other tribes like the Niger Delta people started kidnapping but nobody mentions Niger Delta whenever a kidnapper is arrested, but when ever killings is committed, it is Fulani herdsmen, we can’t take this any more.”

Meanwhile, the arraignment of Alhaji Aliyu Tershaku, the commander of the Benue state Livestock Guards, has been described as a charade and a sham by the president of the Tiv Youths Organisation (TYO), Timothy Hembaor.
Hembaor made the comment during a chat with newsmen in Makurdi on Monday, June 4, The Independent reports.
Legit.ng gathers that the group said Tershaku’s arraignment is a ‘travesty of justice’ and a ploy by the federal government and Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris to change the narrative on the clashes between farmers and herdsmen in Benue.
It further said it was ‘devilish’ to try and change the narrative of 'Fulani publicized attempts' to annihilate occupants of the Benue valley; in order to make it seem as if the attacks were coming from within.
