The players and officials of the Nigerian team have arrived Vienna, Austria, and they will be heading their Avita Resort Base camp where they will train for the next couple of days.

The Super Eagles were narrowly beaten 2-1 on Saturday, June, 2, by England at the famous Wembley Stadium.

Two first half goals from Gary Cahill and Harry Kane gave the Three Lions a two-goal advantage at half time while Alex Iwobi pulled one back after the restart.

Then coach Gernot Rohr had earlier named his final 23-man squad that will represent Nigeria and the World cup in less than two weeks time.

Mikel Agu and Ola Aina were the last two players that were dropped from the squad as the team will be making final preparations for the Mundial.

The Super Eagles will begin their campaign at the World Cup with their first match against Croatia, then play Iceland and lock horns with Argentina.

Meanwhile Legit.ng had earlier reported that captain John Mikel Obi disclosed that the Green and White men lost to England was because they made the game difficult.

The former Lyn Oslo man said Southgate played with five defenders which made it hard for the Nigerian side to penetrate in the first half.
