Premier League campaigners Manchester United are reportedly plotting a massive summer transfer move for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.

The Welshman scored two stunning goals last month to power Los Blancos to their 13thh Champions League title against Liverpool in Kiev.

However, the Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho is hoping to land the former Tottenham Hotspur forward before the start of a new league season.

United’s boss has not hidden his admiration for the striker since he took over from Louis Van Gaal in 2016, meanwhile, the Spanish League giants will not allow Bale leave for anything less than £88 million.

And they will also have to agree to his personal terms of making him the club’s best paid player ahead of Alexis Sanchez.

The 28-year-old made it known according to reports in Spain that he is unhappy with the bench warming role at the club in the recently concluded season.

According to Daily Record, Bale close pals claim he is open to entertaining offers from top European clubs with the right deal.

When asked if he would be returning to England anytime soon, he didn’t answer directly, but insisted that he needed to have more playing time going into next season.

Obviously, I need to be playing week in, week out, and that hasn't happened this season for one reason or another,” Bale said.

"I had about a five-, six-week injury at the start of the season and I've been fit ever since.

“So obviously now I have to sit down in the summer and discuss it with my agent, and, yeah, we'll take it from there.

Even Zinedine Zidane Real has not dimmed Bale's desire to return to the Premier League.

Perez renewed Bale's contract in October 2016, increasing the release clause and inflating the forward's basic after-tax salary to £10.5m.

With performance-related bonuses and image rights factored in, the Welshman's deal is said to be worth over £500,000 a week.

Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 in the then World Record fee and his current deal with the club expires in the summer of 2022.

He has won four Champions League titles, one La Liga trophy and a couple of other domestic titles at his present club.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Bale was disappointed with Cristiano Ronaldo over his Manchester United transfer hints, Daily Star, quoting reports.

Both Madrid players have given a hint about their departure following Los Blancos 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Champions League final.

After securing their third title in a row the pair spoke about leaving the European champions in the summer window.
