Ben Bruce keeps mute over N212 million Bayelsa constituency project

- Also, some other Nigerians joined UdemeNG in the inquiry calling for the application of 'common sense' on the issue
The senator representing Bayelsa east constituency has come under fire for keeping mute over alleged non-implementation of N212 million project.
The attack on Ben Murray-Bruce followed a tweet by @UdemeNG - a platform designed to hold government accountable on how funds released for developmental projects are spent.
The platform had queried the update on the implementation of the N212 million which was allocated for constituency projects in Bayelsa east senatorial district in the 2016 appropriation act.

UdemeNG also revealed that a Freedom of Information request which was sent to Senator Bruce on the update is yet to receive any form of response.
An info-graph by UdemeNG showed that the fund allocated included N97 million for the provision of Solar lighting at selected hospitals in Bayelsa east, N105 million for the provision of solar lighting in selected secondary schools and N 10 million for the provision of solar lighting at healthcare centre in Minibio, Bayelsa east.
But having ignored the inquiry, some Nigerians took to Twitter to address the senator.
Some of those who tweeted said a response that would make "common sense" - adopting the Senator's best line - will be appreciated.

Another said: "Common sense means you must give a response @benmurraybruce you owe the electorate accountability".

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Nigerians had described as insensitive, a remark made by Senator Bruce over the minimum wage.
Nigerians took to Facebook to criticise the Senator for making inquiries on how civil servants earning N18,000 is expected to afford fuel in his tank and food for his family.
Many Nigerians reacted negatively to the statement, as they accused the senator for not having sympathy for the masses.
