Nigerian woman slams Falz for featuring ladies in hijab dancing in his latest video

- A Nigerian woman is not happy with famous musician Falz

- Lawal Simbiat slammed Falz for using hijab wearing ladies in his new video

- She said he degraded the hijab

Legit.ng had earlier reported that popular Nigerian musician Falz had released a video titled This Is Nigeria.

Originally performed by American rapper and actor Childish Gambino (This is America), Falz tackles corruption in government and churches, SARS brutality, yahoo boys and herdsmen killings in his own video.

However, not everyone is happy with Falz and his video. A woman identified as Lawal Simbiat took to her Twitter page to write that Falz degraded the hijab because he featured girls dancing while wearing the religious item.

“I really am disappointed. Why of all things to use, he decided to degrade the hijab. It shows his level of social etiquette. No matter the message passed across, he has trampled on our dignity and pride… He went overboard thus time around.” She wrote in a now deleted tweet.

She further added that people were being hypocritical because when Juliet Ibrahim who is a Christian wore a nun’s outfit to a party, Christians failed to see the art in it.

Meanwhile, American music mogul Diddy has commended Falz for his effort in This Is Nigeria.
