Police arrest 3 with fresh human head in Adamawa

- The police have arrested three people with fresh human head

- The suspects were arrested at Tashan-Baba village in Jada local government area of Adamawa state

- In their confession, the suspects said the man who contracted them promised to pay N5 million upon delivery of the head

Three people have been arrested with fresh human head at Tashan-Baba village in Jada local government area of Adamawa state, Daily Trust reports.

The police in the state said the individuals were arrested after they exhumed and cut-off the head from the corpse of a seven-year old girl, Blessing Johnson, a day after she was buried.

Speaking on the incident, the Adamawa state command spokesperson, Othman Abubakar, said the three suspects identified as Yunusa Audi, Dauda Babale and Muka’ilu Ishaya confessed to the crime.

Abubakar said the suspects were contracted by one John Bakari of Karlahi village in Fufore local government area to get fresh human head for unknown purpose.

The suspects also told the police that Bakari promised to pay N5 million for the head once delivered.

According to Abubakar, the principal suspect Bakari is already at large.

He however said that the police was making effort to arrest him while the three suspects will be charged to court on Monday, May 28.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Kwara state government had denied that some suspected criminals arrested in the state implicated anybody.

The state's ministry of justice in a statement debunked claims that some notable politicians from the state was accused of having dealings with the suspects.

The director of public prosecution at the state ministry of justice, Jimoh Mumini, said there was no portion of the press statement where the suspects were said to have indicted any top personality.
