- Nike, Super Eagles kit sponsors confirm receiving orders for three million Nigerian jerseys

- The jersey was launched in London on February 7 in London

- It will officially go on sale in June - few days to the start of the 2018 World Cup

Super Eagles official kit sponsors Nike have confirmed that they have received orders to produce about three million Super Eagles replicas for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The three-time African champions launched the jersey they will wear in Russia next month a couple of months back in London.

They used the jersey in their international friendly games against Poland and Serbia in March – in which they defeated the Polish national team but weren’t strong enough to avoid defeat against the Serbians.

According to them, “Nike receives three million orders for Eagles jerseys, explores new contract with the NFF.”

They also revealed that the jerseys will be available in the market as from next month, as they hope to create an option to preorder towards that period.

The jersey has also not been released yet, it is scheduled to be available in June. Also, there has not been an option to preorder the jersey.”

Nigeria begin their campaign in their sixth World Cup appearances against Croatia on June 16, before clashing against Iceland and Argentina in their second and third matches respectively.

The farthest they have gone at the global showpiece is the second round, and they will be hoping they can break that jinx in this year’s edition of the competition.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the Nigeria Football Federation and NIKE have unveiled the official 2018 World Cup kits for the Super Eagles.

The new kit which has a traditional flare and bares resemblance to the green Eagles 1994 World Cup kits is being well received by Nigerians from all walks of life.

And they have taken to their various social media platform to react to the new kit with hope it will bring Nigeria good fortunes at the World Cup.
