I was never framed up for fighting Jonathan - Melaye laments travails

- Senator Dino Melaye has apparently hit at the current administration over his recent police case

- He claimed that despite fighting former president Jonathan, he was not framed in the process

- Melaye also released a photo of himself and President Buhari, tagging it 'before, before'

The lawmaker representing Kogi west at the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye, has lamented his situation under the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Melaye who subtly threw a dig at the current administration in an Instagram message on Sunday, May 20, posted that he was never framed up for fighting former president Goodluck Jonathan.

"I was never framed up for fighting Jonathan.Never arraigned! Aluta continua victoria asata," the outspoken senator said.

Going further, the lawmaker also posted a photo of himself sitting with President Muhammadu Buhari, tagging it 'before before'. The photo was believed to have been taken prior to 2015 presidential election.

Legit.ng had reported that the police on Wednesday, March 28, declared Dino Melaye wanted. The lawmaker was declared wanted alongside Mohammed Audu, son of a former governor of Kogi state, Abubakar Audu.

The news outlet also reported that the Nigerian police explained how embattled Senator Dino Melaye, escaped from police custody and how he was rearrested immediately.

Legit.ng had also reported that Senator Dino Melaye said his spirit and resolve is unshakable in the face of the police case he was facing.

The senator who made the statement on Instagram on Friday, May 18, said police illegal arrest and harassment did not start now.
