Kaduna senators are cursed - Governor El-Rufai declares

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state on Friday, May 11, described the senators representing the state at the National Assembly as cursed.

El-Rufai also stated that the lawmakers were the enemies of the people of Kaduna state.

The governor in a Facebook post cited pages of the Quran when describing the senators as deceivers and hypocrites.

Some social user users however faulted El-Rufai's comments, describing them as not fitting for a sitting governor.

El-Rufai has been having a running battle with the current three senators from Kaduna and is expected to try to replace them.

Legit.ng had reported that the governor recently lashed out at senators from the state for their roles in the rejection of the 350 million dollars World Bank loan for Kaduna state.

Senator Shehu Sani who represents Kaduna central, Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, the senator representing Kaduna North, Senator Danjuma La’ah, a PDP senator who represents Kaduna South all spoke against the loan on the floor of the Senate.

El Rufai who made his feeling know on Facebook accused the senators of elevating their personal frustrations above the rights of the people.

Meanwhile, Hassan Hyat, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna state has lambasted Governor Nasir El-Rufai over his alleged inciting comments against the three senators from the state.

The PDP chairman said this while receiving some defectors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zonkwa, Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna state, on Monday, May 7, This Day reports.
