Alleged video of Offa, Kwara bank robbery surfaces days after many were killed
Days after a major armed robbery incident which resulted in the death of many residents of Offa in Kwara state as well as policemen, a video of the alleged operation by the about 15 gunmen has surfaced online while security agents continue with investigations.
The incident happened on Thursday, April 5, and reportedly affected five banks in an operation that was said to have taken the lives of at least 50 people.

Legit.ng earlier reported there was confusion in Offa, a town housing a federal polytechnic in Kwara state, on Thursday, April 5, as heavily armed robbers reportedly raided some banks and shot sporadically leading to chaos among residents and customers.
The Nigerian Tribune reports that some of those who were killed in the incident included policemen, complainants, bank customers and market people. The robbers also reportedly carted away huge amounts of money.
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) later confirmed that seventeen people were killed in the incident.
The Senate president, Bukola Saraki, on Saturday, April 7, visited Offa, Kwara state where the robbery incident occurred.

Saraki during had cut short his trip to Arochukwu where he attended the funeral service of Madam Matilda Nwannediya Ohuabunwa the mother of the chairman, Senate committee on primary Healthcare, Mao Ohuabunwa.
In Offa, the Senate President met with the Olofa of Offa, HRM Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II.
