The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that Nigerians will never forgive the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite its recent apology.

The Kano state chapter of the APC said PDPs' 16 years of leadership was full of bad governance and mismanagement of public funds.

The deputy chairman of the APC in Kano state, Shehu Magari, while reacting to an apology from the opposition through its national chairman, Uche Secondus, said the PDP's appeal is laughable. He said Secondus and the PDP should know that Nigerians can not be fooled

He said: “The total neglect of agricultural sector which is considered to be the backbone of the nation’s economy under the PDP-led government will also not be forgotten by Nigerians. Likewise, the diversion of billions of naira meant for the purchase of weapons for our gallant soldiers to fight Boko Haram insurgents will never be a bye-gone issue.

“As far as APC Kano is concerned, the so-called PDP mistakes were costly to be forgiven. No right thinking Nigerian will forget and forgive these kinds of expensive mistakes."

Magari further added that the leadership approach adopted by the APC is an end to Nigeria's challenges of insecurity and high level of corruptions inherited from the PDP.

He also said that Nigerians have become politically wise to decide for themselves while noting that they were not unmindful of the efforts being made by the Buhari-led government in rescue the nation’s economy from total collapse.

Recall that the PDP had apologised to Nigerians for the mistakes it made while governing Nigeria. Uche Secondus, national chairman of the party, on Monday, March 26, at a public discourse on contemporary politics and governance in Nigeria, organized by the PDP in Abuja, said the party has learnt from its mistakes and ready to provide quality leadership for the country.
