- O level result: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.

2. Physics
- O level result: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science
- UTME subject: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology.
- Direct entry: National Diploma at credit level in relevant field plus O’ level credit in Physics, Mathematics
3. Chemistry & Applied Chemistry
- O level result: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- UTME subject: Chemistry and two of Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
- Direct entry: NCE with Chemistry major.
4. Geology
- O level result: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject.
- UTME subject: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Geography
5. Statistics
- UTME subject: Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Economics
- O level result: Mathematics and at least three subjects from Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Economics and Geography.
6. Botany
- O level result: Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. However, t pass in Mathematics and English Language.
- UTME subject: Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
- Direct entry: ND/HND in relevant fields.
7. Zoology
- O level result: Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

8. Mathematics
- O level result: Five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry.

- Direct entry: ND (credit in Computer Science or any other Mathematics base subject)
9. Microbiology
- UTME subject: Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics. But t Agric Science in lieu of Biology.
- O level result: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics
- Direct entry: lower credit in addition to ‘O’ level credit pass in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and other science subjects.
10. Computer Science
- O level result: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two other science subjects.
- UTME subject: Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography.
- Direct entry: ND in Computer Science or other mathematically based disciplines with Upper Credit level.

- UTME subject: Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
- O level result: 5 SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Maths/Physics
12. Medical laboratory science
- UTME subject: Physics, Chemistry and Biology
- O level result: 5 SSCE credit passes in English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
