Saraki mourns Senator Wakils demise as Dogara pays condolence visit

The president of the Senate Bukola Saraki and the speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu have expressed sadness over the death of Senator Ali Wakili who was the chairman of the Senate committee on poverty alleviation.
Wakili died at the age of 58 and his death has been confirmed by Saraki in a series of tweets to mourn his deceased colleague.
In his series of tweets, Saraki said he was saddened to hear the news of the demise of Wakili.

The Senate president who was on his way to the family house of the vice president to felicitate with them on the wedding of his daughter, said that he was now on his way to the family House of the Wakili’s to commiserate with them on the passing of the senator.
Dogara described as devastating and heart breaking, the news of the death of Senator Malam Ali Wakili.
Dogara said: ''The death of Sen. Ali Wakili is a personal loss to me. I’m short of words to describe how devastated and heart broken I am over the passing away of this true friend, brother and confidant, with whom I had an excellent brotherly relationship.

''We in Bauchi state and in particular, Bauchi South Senatorial District, have lost a worthy ambassador and a distinguished gentleman, but we’ll take solace in the fact that his humanitarian services and other accomplishments will continue to be a source of inspiration to us all.
''Our deepest condolences go to his immediate family, constituents, the people of Bauchi State and the nation at large over this irreparable loss. May God grant his soul eternal rest.''
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the a journalist with the Voice of America, (VOA), Saleh Shehu Ashaka announced the death of the APC senator in a tweet on Saturday, March 17.
