EFCC quizzes Governor Dankwambo’s top aide over 2015 PDP campaign funds

- The head of operations of the EFCC Gombe zonal office Johnson Babalola confirmed that the commission invited Ahmed Yayari for questioning

- Babalola said the anti-graft agency is investigating into alleged fraud involving the 2015 campaign funds

- He said the agency would prosecute anyone found wanting once investigations are concluded

Chief of staff to governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe state, Alhaji Ahmed Yayari has been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning over alleged complicity involving the handling of the 2015 PDP campaign funds.

Daily Sun reports that head of operations of the EFCC Gombe zonal office, Johnson Babalola who confirmed on Friday, March 2, said Yayari was invited to the office of the anti-graft agency as part of investigations into alleged fraud involving the 2015 campaign funds.

According to him, ''Yes, we invited Yayari among others to our office. We are still investigating the matter.''

He further said that the agency would prosecute anyone found wanting once investigations are concluded.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that EFCC Lagos zonal office, on Wednesday, February 28, arraigned one Chimezie Chuta before Justice Mojisola Dada of the state high court.

Chuta who a former employee in the publishing unit of Dominion Book Stores, an online bookstore belonging to the Living Faith Church Worldwide, was arraigned on one-count charge bordering on stealing to the tune of $56,000.00.
