Honourable Sylva visits Governor Dickson, sparks rumour of defection

A popular chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Honourable Nathaniel Sylva visited Governor Seriake Dickson on Wednesday, February 28, sparking rumours of possible defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Sylva, a former chairman of Brass local government area and kinsman of ex-governor Timipre Sylva's kinsman, visited Governor Seriake Dickson in his office at the Government House, Yenagoa.
In a chat with journalists after the visit, Sylva commended Governor Dickson for the giant development strides recorded in the state under his administration.
The visit however sparked rumours of defection as some media reports suggests Sylva has already dumped the APC ship.

Though no official statement has been made in reference to his next destination, there are very strong pointers to the fact he might possibly consider a return to the PDP.
In a related development, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ikenne/Shagamu/Remo north federal constituency, Honourable Ladi Adebutu, has denied speculations that he is about to join the APC.
Adebutu, 55, a PDP member, has been linked to the ruling party severally, as there are rumours that he plans to contest for the governorship position in 2019.
However, in a statement sent to Legit.ng, Adebutu reiterated that he is a very committed party member and will always remain one.
He added that he will not at dump the party at this time, because of the solid pedigree he has in his constituency.
