5 throwback photos celebrating late actress Moji Olaiya
It has been almost a year since actress Moji Olaiya died after complications from childbirth. She would have turned 43 on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
Born on February 27, 1975, the young Moji became famous after she starred in Super Story, a TV series by famous producer Wale Adenuga. She made her indigenous movie debut in the Yoruba movie, Agunbaniro.
A niece to high life legend Victor Olaiya, she successfully converted from Christianity to Islam in 2014. She got married to businessman Bayo Okesola in 2007 but later got divorced. She has two daughters, Adunoluwa born 18 years ago and a baby she welcomed in March 17, 2017.
The well-loved actress passed away on May 18, 2017 and her then housekeeper Mrs Keji described the moments that led to her death: “Her baby was born premature. Her EDD was for May 2017 but complications arose that necessitated that she be induced to save the baby’s life as well as hers. But since the delivery in March, her health had not been exactly perfect.
Her blood pressure shot up and she got unconscious. An ambulance was called to transport her to the hospital. But her case worsened and she gave up the ghost before they could make it to the hospital.”
