We're almost close to the last time we offered a scholarship; it was nearly close to the N200 million worth of scholarship we have awarded to the Nigerian youth.
Every year, we launch a scholarship program, which is two in nature. First, we offer a program or a scholarship drive called Aptech Career Quest under the umbrella of Middlesex University, UK. It has been going on for the last 16 years, and we award 50% scholarships to bright students so that we can make them much more ready for tomorrow.
We launched a scholarship program called Mission I.T. which is based on the work percentage a student acquires, and we offer him a fee waiver based on his last academic performance in the WAEC exam.
We do these activities to support the financially challenged and bright students in becoming IT-enabled and serving the nation.
Assistance for studying or working abroad at Aptech Nigeria
Mr. Kallol elaborates on the measures implemented by Aptech Nigeria to support students in studying or working abroad. He mentioned that upon completing the program, students receive NYSE compliance, and 240 credits - equivalent to two years of fee waivers from various universities in the United Kingdom. Mr. Kallol explained that:
Every year, 400 to 500 students from our Aptech centers are admitted to various U.K. universities, and they complete their balance one year and become undergraduate-qualified I.T. professionals.
Most of them, because of our curriculum and how we teach them with practical courses and projects, get placed either in the U.K. or get a job when they are back in Nigeria to serve the nation.
Global exposure and international certification opportunities at Aptech Nigeria
The Aptech EVP elaborated on how the institute obtains international recognition and certification for its students. He mentioned:
Apart from the advanced diploma, our program also offers an opportunity to get an L5DC diploma from NCC Education, U.K. recognized by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) as an awarding body of quality British qualifications.
While conducting the program with Aptech students in Nigeria, we have multiple live projects and global competitions where they are made to expose themselves, present themselves, create competitive software, and stand tall compared to the peers available in the market.
Concluding his remarks, Mr. Kallol offers practical advice for individuals contemplating enrollment at Aptech Nigeria, stressing the significance of choosing programs that align with their career objectives and aspirations. He said:
Every student stepping inside or another aspirate learner who steps inside our center undergoes an evaluation done by our career counselor, who is equipped to understand the needs of the aspirant, and, accordingly, the program is suggested.
