Governor Ganduje promises Buhari 5 million votes in 2019
- Governor Ganduje of Kano state has promised to deliver no less than five million votes for President Buhari in the 2019 election
- The governor said majority of the people in Kano state are in support of APC
- He made this promise after APC won during the local council election in the state
Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Monday, February 12, assured President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of getting up to five million votes from the state in the 2019 presidential election.
Ganduje made this statement while reacting to the victory of the APC in the just concluded local council election in Kano state, Vanguard reports.

The governor who spoke during the swearing in ceremony of the 44 new local government council chairmen, and 484 councillors claimed that the APC is popular in the state.
He said: "The overall number of votes scored by the APC candidates is more than what President Buhari scored in 2015 general election, that is to say that if eventually he agreed to contest 2019 general election, I assured you, we will give you 5 million votes. We have seen in this election was a clear indication that Kano is APC and ready to contribute to its success any time."

Legit.ng previously reported that voters in five polling units in Fagge local government area of Kano state were on the queue till about midday due to late arrival of voting materials on Saturday, February, 10.
Some of the voters, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the Fagge ‘B’ polling unit decried the late arrival of the materials.
the electorate threatened to go back home and continue with their normal activities if the voting materials were not brought on time by the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission.
