Meet 28-year-old Nigerian engineer who invented, designer world’s first ever fuel rocket
The world is talking about 28-year-old talented young man, Shehu Saleh Balami. He is the inventor and designer of the world’s first ever solid fuel rocket.
He was reported to have studied mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Technology (FUT) in Minna, Niger state and launched his fuel rocket in 2008. The launching took place in Kaduna.
Balami has been involved in the making of rockets since the year 2000. And in 2008, he manufactured his first rocket, which he later modified in 2011.

Celebrating Balami’s achievement on social media is Trends of Nigeria. It took to its Twitter handle on Monday, January 5, to share his picture and sing his praises.
Their post reads: “Nigerian Genius. Meet Engineer Shehu Saleh Balami he is the Inventor and Designer of the World’s first ever solid fuel rocket.”

It was added that the two rockets cost Balami about N30,000 naira each and were produced with local materials only.
Legit.ng earlier reported that a young Nigerian lady Ezinne Favour Ogwugbe recently graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus. She graduated as the best student in her class with CGPA of 4.0.
