We are not charging N5,000 to be on the Wellingtons reality show - Banky W cries out
It appears that scamming people most especially celebrities on social media seem to be on the high side in recent times. These people make use of celebrity social media accounts to demand for money from their fellow Nigerians.
Talented Nigerian music star turned Nollywood actor, Bankole Wellington, has taken to his Instagram handle to deny collecting money from people to be on his reality TV show ‘The Wellingtons.’
He disclosed that some people are using a fake account on Facebook to collect the sum of N5,000 from anyone who wishes to be on the reality show.

The post which was shared on Friday, January 26, reads: “I hear there's yet another scam on Facebook charging N5,000 to be in a reality show by the Wellingtons. Please ignore it is a complete scam. Please DO NOT SEND ANYBODY ANY MONEY to be in any TV show or to join any label, it is a scam.”
