How to use Jumia pay on delivery
Jumia.com is an online store where you can buy electronic gadgets, fashion clothes, goods for children and health, automobile accessories, etc. It is number one online retailer in Nigeria. You can buy everything you need anywhere you are with your mobile device anytime.
Payment for goods bought on jumia can be done in two ways, either you pay online or pay on delivery of the goods.

What is pay on delivery?
Pay on Delivery is a payment method that allows you pay for you items when they get to you. You can choose to pay cash on delivery or do a funds transfer. Jumia pay on delivery allows you to make payment with Cash or with a debit card. Be sure that this way of payment is safe, simple, and comfortable. This payment method lets you check your order out, to be sure it is the exact item you ordered before making payment.
How do I pay on delivery?
There are several ways you can pay for your order on delivery.
- Only local Mastercard, VISA or Verve card can be used for paying on POS machine on delivery. Only Nigerian Naira is accepted by Jumia Nigeria for on delivery payment. The POS machines do not recognize any International cards for on delivery payment in Nigeria. You can also pay with your cash. The choice is yours.
- Use the mCASH code 402 for releasing the payment
Pay for your order directly from your mobile phone using the option mCash:
- Turn to the Delivery Associate for his DACODE while making a payment
- Use your mobile number which is linked to your BVN, dial *402*DACODE*Amount# (Example: *402*87*7600# to pay NGN 7600 to the Jumia Delivery Agent with DA Code 87)
- You will be asked to enter your PIN code so that the payment could be completed
Perhaps this method sounds too complicated and tricky, but there will be a Jumia staff in front of you who can help you if you get some questions or feel confused about this payment method.
Note that you may be unable to use pay on delivery on Jumia Nigeria if:
- Your cart has a shipped from overseas item or an insurance item
- Your total cart value is less than ₦3,500
- Your total cart value is more than ₦200,000
- Some far regions and specific pick-up stations are not available for Pay On Delivery
- Your previous delivery payment experience does not let you use this method
