Nollywood Actress, Joke Silva Appointed UNODC Goodwill Ambassador

Veteran actress, Joke Silva has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The UNODC appointed the actress as a Goodwill Ambassador, to promote a campaign against human traficking, named I am Priceless.

The I am Priceless campaign is a three-year campaign aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of irregular migration, as a consequence of either being smuggled or being a victim of trafficking in persons.

As part of the campaign, Joke Silva will be using her profile in Nollywood to create awareness about the dangers of human trafficking.

Hip-hop artiste, Jude Abaga (a.k.a MI) was also appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the UNODC, to support the campaign. The pair were decorated at the launch of the campaign, which took place in Abuja last Tuesday (October 9, 2012).
