Legit.ng previously reported that the umbrella body group of Fulani herdsmen, Mobgal Ho*re Fulbe, Nigeria, alleged that Fulani herdsmen are being killed in Numan and Demsa local government areas of Adamawa state.

The group said this in a meeting on Tuesday, January 2, in Yola.

It urged the federal government to take urgent steps to stop the killings, claiming that that over 4,000 herdsmen and their families displaced along the River Banks in Numan and Demsa, following the crisis between them and Bachama tribe, were now returning to their bases.

Meanwhile, according to another earlier report by Legit.ng, the federal government reacted to Fulani herdsmen attacks in Benue state and some other parts of the country.

Legit.ng gathered that the minister of interior, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), gave the assurance on Monday, January 8, at a meeting with some state governors in Abuja.

Dambazau said President Muhammadu Buhari remained committed to ensuring peace in every part of the country.
