These photos prove that Olamide is about to start a new fashion trend
In a year were Wizkid and Davido hogged the headlines, many forget that king of the streets Olamide also had an amazing year.
From giving us a hit song in Wo, to pushing a new fashion trend with the chest purse, to releasing his 7th studio album, Baddo made this year unforgettable for a lot of Nigerian music fans.
Legit.ng has curated a list of the new things the YBNL boss introduced into the Nigerian music industry in 2017.
1. Shaku Shaku dance
In the years Olamide has been at the top of the Nigerian music industry, he has given us the Bobo dance style and with his help, Lil Kesh made Shoki a national dance step. 2017 saw him introducing another street dance Shaku Shaku to a wide audience. Call it the Nigerian dance style of the year, and you won’t be wrong. Everyone from Davido to DJ Cuppy has been spotted dancing the Shaku Shaku!

2. Chest purse
The chest purse had existed as a fashion accessory years before Baddo brought it to national consciousness. The minute he was seen wearing it at events and at in his video for Wo, everybody (or at least a large number of people) now has one.
3. Leg bandana
It’s not clear if this would become a trend but knowing Baddo’s track record, it may become the latest trend in town.
