December global festivities: Google starts celebrating with new doodle
The spirit of Christmas is in the air. A festive atmosphere reigns everywhere. Search engine Google is also prepared for the global December festivities. From this article, you’ll find out about their funny new Doodle.
Concept of Christmas Doodle
A colorful series of holiday pictures began being posted on Monday, 18th December:
- Enjoy funny images of toucan and penguins. Apparently, they are friends. The birds seemed to communicate by phone as the Christmas holiday connects all the inhabitants of the earth.
- Penguins pack their suitcases to go on a trip and stay with their friends in warm countries. It is a wonderful way to unite all the people of the world during the jolly Christmas holiday.
- Also, we see gift boxes with the figures 18, 25, 31, and 1. We imagine that these are the dates for the display of new Doodles.

Why is Christmas celebrated on December 25?
In fact, the date of Christ’s birth is not exactly known. In the Bible, nothing is said about this. In the first half of the 4th century, Christmas was scheduled for December 25 by the Western Christian Churches.
History of Google Doodles
Usually, Doodles are created for the special events or holidays. They may be local and global. The latter are displayed for everyone to see while the local ones are for a specified group. For example, if the Doodle is created for the Independence Day of Nigeria, then it will be shown only to users in Nigeria.
Anyone who at least occasionally uses the Google search engine will notice that the logo on the main page changes sometimes. The standard picture is very simple but recognizable. This corresponds to the company logo and marketing purposes. It is created so that the user immediately builds associations in his mind and instantly remembers the name of the company.
However, 19 years after Google was created, they decided to change things up. They were the first IT company that changed the logo for holidays. And they called them Doodles.
The first Doodle was developed and posted on the search engine main page in celebration of "Burning Man" in 1998. The early Doodles were very simple and did not require special staff for their creation. But the further the idea developed the more intricate and beautiful these images became.
Soon the administration needed new designers who would be focused on the development of holiday logos. They are called "Doodlers". They are professional artists who are great at their jobs.
In fact, anyone can write a letter to Google and request to draw a logo. If the idea is worth it, then it is likely that it will be brought into reality.
In 2008, the mass production of Doodles began. The department started in full force and produced about a dozen of logos that year. Among them were both local and global Doodles. They became more complicated and beautiful.
The following significant event in Google Doodle history was the appearance of interactive logos in 2010. These ones responded to the actions of users!
This gave developers a huge opportunity to explore their imagination. The first of such Doodle was the game Pac-Man released on May 21.
