Anambra poll: UPP candidate Chidoka to launch campaign on Saturday, September 30
- Chief Osita Chidoka will officially flag-off his campaign for the Anambra election at Amorka in Ihiala local government area of the state
- The campaign team thanks everyone for their support and contributions to the Chidoka campaign
- The group says come November 18, 2017, it will enthrone the people’s government in Anambra state
The candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP) in the November 18 Anambra governorship election, Chief Osita Chidoka, will on Saturday, September 30, officially flag-off his campaign for the election.

The campaign flag-off was made known by Chidoka’s director of media, Viola Ifeyinwa Okolie, in a statement sent to Legit.ng on Thursday, September 28.
The event will be taking place at Amorka in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state.
The Chidoka campaign has dedicated the event to the people of the state.
It said: "The symbolic flag-off is dedicated to all the people of Anambra particularly the downtrodden, the poor, the forgotten and the voiceless whose prayers and goodwill for our candidate have continued to inspire our campaign towards victory.
"As we lift up the “isi agu”, the UPP logo of the brave tiger with Ndi Anambra, we lift up our collective consciousness and heroic essence as a people, and set the pace for the preordained rebirth of our glorious state, which Chief Chidoka represents.
"Without argument, Chief Osita Chidoka has since shown to be the only candidate in this race with a clear message and vision for a new Anambra. In the same vein, our party is the only one with a clear vision and ideology to stand in cognizance with the yearnings and aspirations of the people and nothing more.
"In the coming days we will marshal out our issue-based and very robust campaign. We will continue as is in our character to keep it clean and engage in constructive debates on all issues.
"With the people, we will ask very pertinent questions and demand answers for them all. This campaign will bare it all.

"Our strength in this election is a product of enduring prayers, abiding faith in God, painstaking planning, extensive mobilization and widespread all-inclusive consultations and bonding among our people without barriers, for which we now have the highest demography of volunteers and supporters across the state.
"We will continue to however work even harder and ensure that no corner of our state is left unreached as we scale up our door-to-door and person-to-person campaign, to further consolidate our march with the people."
The Chidoka team thanked everyone for their support and contributions to the campaign.
The team saluted the people of Anambra for their determination and resolve to work with the UPP to claim election victory in the state.
It said that come November 18, 2017, it will enthrone the people’s government in the state.
Meanwhile, former governor Peter Obi has called out his successor, Chief Willie Obiano, just weeks to the November 2017 governorship election in Anambra state.
Obi asked Obiano to tell the people of the state what happened to the N75 billion he left behind for the governor four years ago.
The former governor raised the allegation in reaction to Obiano’s claim that he demanded for N7 billion from his government.
Speaking through his special adviser, Valentine Obienyem, in a statement, Obi said he was surprised that Obiano was campaigning with an allegation that he demanded for money from him instead of telling Anambra people what happened to the N75 billion he met in the state’s treasury.
