Biafra: IPOB members protest in Israel

- Members of IPOB took the streets of Israel to demand for the freedom of Biafra

- The group alleged that Hausa-Fulani are killing them in their homeland

- The protest was organised days after the group was proscribed and declared a terrorist group in Nigeria

Days after being proscribed and declared a terrorist group by the southeast governors and army, members of the Indigenous People of Biafra group staged a rally in Israel to demand for the freedom of Biafra.

In a video posted on Radio Biafra London by Gloria Christian, IPOB members could be seen dancing and holding flags while siren could be heard in the background.

A man could was heard saying: "We are protesting in Israel because of what is happening in our homeland. Hausa-Fulani are killing us. Oh God. We need our freedom in our homeland of Biafra."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture has expressed disappointment that the United States does not agree that the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) is a terrorist organisation.

In an interview on BBC Focus Africa on Wednesday, September 27, the minister said the utterances and acts of IPOB showed they were terrorists.

He said the federal government does not agree with the US stance that the separatist group was not a terrorist organisation.
