Residents lament over the bad state of Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway

A Facebook user, Iroha Stanley Buchai, has raised an alarm over the state of the popular Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.
In a post on the social-networking site on Wednesday, August 30, Buchai specifically mentioned and photographed the Umudiawa-Umuahia section of the expressway, which he suggested was practically impassable.
He wrote: “Though some sections of this road is under reconstruction, but this particular spot has become a nightmare to motorists. Goods worth millions of naira have been lost on this spot.
“Please I want to know if FERMA has been scrapped or are they no longer functional?
“Something should be done urgently to remedy the situation at that point to avoid further losses.”

Meanwhile, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state is set to ban use of keke in the state capital, Owerri.
In a Facebook post shared by one Ifeanyi Njoku on Wednesday, August 30, he stated that the governor gave out new taxis to the keke operators.
In the pictures shared alongside the post, the keke operators could be seen rejoicing and applauding the governor for the good gesture.
